THAT is exactly how work as a temp is. They can dismiss you if you even BLINK the wrong way. :/

There’s an easy way out. Ask how much sick time you get and then go home sick.

I never saw a “great temp” hired. They are too valuable. So called permanent applications are a dime a dozen. They get cycled; but never lose a great temp.

    Being a Temp is Okay.

My Honey took me on, until she found someone better … and I’m still here.

I was a temp at one company for nine months. They finally hired me. I was the happiest SOB ever.

I was always happy when I got a job, but always got bored with it in a couple of years

I’ve never been a temp. I don’t even know how to apply to be a temp. Where is the temp employment office? Is there a temp hot line?

I started the best job I ever had as a Temp. A funny incident happened in a meeting my boss had taken me to. The guy sitting next to me, I think he was a Vice-President, asked me what my title was. I proudly announced “Temporary-Extra Help!” ☺

I thought Catbert asked that question to determine his intelligence. His affirmative answer should have disqualified him.

I wonder how Catbert is faring in these days of businesses clamoring for workers after the Great Resignation.

Temps and interns must show slavish loyalty to become a permanent loyal slave. It’s the business version of grooming.

If you think you are a capable worker who will benefit an employer and the best you are offered is being a temp or intern, then it’s time to start your own business.

I was a temp at one time and was a wiz at spreadsheets. I felt underutilized, though, because they never allowed me to Excel. ;-p

I thought an employee orientation program was where they would show you the door. ;-p

That was just Catbert, Evil H.R. Director, welcoming a new sucker into his little Heck-on-Earth. Or use his own E.O.P. description. Same thing, sucka!

Somebody once said, “All jobs are temporary”, LOL! Some are more long-lasting than others. I had a coworker who was a regular employee, but she had been transferred from doing similar work into our department “until we get caught up”. She was there at least 20 years, LOL!
