I saw roses in January…

We’re more into gray skies and snow these days.

Stupid dogs, get into the kennel then!

I have a card a friend gave me a long time ago. The cover has “Sometimes you just gotta stop & smell the roses!” The inside has " And sometimes you just gotta stomp them into the ground!"

Duh.

I like grey skies,

At least they tell the truth;

Grey skies,

Reflective skies

That do not laugh at all

Nor weep vain tears.

Unpromising,

Unhoping,

Cold.

Grey skies,

No fear in them

Nor any joy,

No tragedy,

All grey.

I like grey skies,

Unweeping, smileless skies.

They do not lie.

Jax Dog is like Will. On dreary days he doesn’t really want to do anything except lie around. It’s a pretty noticeable change.

The funk is catching.

it snowed here on Friday and I saw buds on my climbing peace that morning, and the cold will do wonders for my peach trees.
