Does that mean JJ isn’t a babe? Because she was Mike’s girlfriend, fiancé, wife.
The skank and her moron companion are appropriately astonished.
JJ and Uncle Stupidhead really deserve each other.
Nothing beats a good cat fight.
JJ may have been a babe years ago, but Kim has intelligence and an ability to connect with Alex in a good way.
You have to remember that before she met Mike, JJ had run off with Stupidhead.
Kim is indeed a babe, and Zeke is always a creep.
One of my favorite strips—the look on his idiot ex-wife’s face is priceless
A old story that a , lady friend told me a long time ago , she said that ( some women don’t want the SOB , but they don’t want anyone else to have him either ) . It is strange how some women think ?
I’ve been waiting for this moment ever since the b!tch ran off with “Uncle Stupidhead”.
It’ll all be downhill for those two from now on—and they deserve it!!
hee hee, I called it yesterday. (ad don’t remember this bit) but there she was all set to rub mike’s nose in it even though she was always the one causing grief, this was the best way to hit her hard. Mike’s got a better life and a hot girlfriend and she’s got…zeke
Mike’s trump card.
Mike had most assuredly traded up. JJ, not so much.
Hey, Uncle Stupidhead. You might want to stop digging now.
Not just a babe, a very intelligent babe.
Revenge can really be the sweetest thing. Mike earned the the right to have it, what with the misery JJ put him through.
JJ hasn’t been traded in on a newer model, she was stolen and had to be replaced. Check your chassis lady. You’re still good, just not necessary.
Looks like JJ’s rub-it-in scheme has just hit a brick wall.
Once is understandable, but Mike nailing down two babes of this magnitude (creative-imaginative-beautiful, smart-sassy-beautiful) is wild. If only we all could have the luck with the ladies of a comic writer’s avatar in the world he creates.
Zeke starts hitting on Kim in 3… 2… 1…
This is awesome. Karma is truly a *itch sometimes. This time for JJ.
There is a BBC clip of a Korean expert being interviewed over a video link a few years back (early adopter, way pre-Covid). His little kids came romping in and an Asian woman came running in grab them. He was a Korean expert, fluent speaker of Korean, lived in Korea… but commentators assumed she was the nanny. Turned out she was his wife and a highly qualified professional. Things never change, assumptions.
To be honest, Mike upgraded.
“He’s my ex! He’s supposed to be wallowing in misery over missing out on the perfection that is me!”
Zeke: You’re a babe, and Mike could never attract a babe.
People aren’t old their older.
Kim should have met them at the door with a skimpy top on with the necessary one shoulder strap falling down the arm. I’m disappointed.
Alex could be babysitting Kim! Maybe….
I tend to feel quite sorry for any women that have been involved with my ex, because I know what’s waiting for them.
There are babes and there are young babes. I was married to an older babe. What a babe!
This is probably when Zeke first acquired his famous and fitting nickname.
And Kim will know t hat Mike needs somebody who ain’t named JJ
Love it! JJ goes to stick it in Mike’s face and lo and behold! Just deserts….
Props to Trudeau for that third panel. By removing all the extraneous details, you focus on JJ’s reaction.
Uncle Stupid Head is about to make a move.
Great a bitch fight coming up!
I love it.
JJ might have been hoping to get back with Mike & dump Zeke. She have a place to stay (instead of her car) while she’s working on her big art installation.
One of favorite strips~ever
With regard to JJ, I think it’s important to remember that she is to some degree damaged goods, having been abandoned by her mother. There’s a through-line.
Enter Alex. “Mom. Uncle Stupid Head. Hey, Kim, want to do some coding before dad comes home?”
Ok, I cheated a bit and looked at the “art”. This comic is from Dec. 13, 1996 and actually predates the one that we saw recently of Alex not getting a good Christmas present. The actual proposal was on a Sunday so we won’t see that but the “art” itself debuted on April 14, 1997. I’d say that it was fugly but that would be praising it. At least it’s really large though, as promised!
