If only it were always so easy to make a living ruining terrible people. But speaking of ruining terrible people, it looks like Alex Jones is going to lose everything!
It would be nice, if in real life, the greedy crooks in business and politics, only screwed up each other. Unfortunately, us peasants take the larger share of their consequences.
At my favorite restaurant, the 70-year-old hostess told me she was so glad they had offered her the job. I told her that, since I retired, I’m absolutely horrified that someone will offer me a job. :)
Actually, it already happened, I mentioned to the local pharmacist that I had a degree in Chemistry and he offered to hire me on the spot.
Just remember, in the Doonesbury universe, Duke is so influential and infamous that, in one arc, Donald Trump came to Duke’s home to offer Duke a job/assignment.
Mr. Disdain For Anyone Who’s Not Rich deigned to visit a humble trailer park to ask Duke for his services. That’s gotta count for something.
I mean, okay, it was back in the eighties or nineties, but even then, Trump had a lot of power to throw around.
(I don’t see any need to use this post as a springboard to diss people who live in trailer parks — like my maternal grandmother and my brother, both of them dedicated liberals — but I’m not foolish enough to think that people are going to refrain from doing so.)
