Anyone remember the series where Mr. Magoo dramatized stories like MOBY-DICK and FRANKENSTEIN?

Oh, Magoo, you’ve done it again.

I’m with you, Ralph. That’s the on Dickens adaptation thats actually faithful to the original.

Give or take the musical numbers, that is.

I like Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol, too.

Don’t mess with the classics…

I’ve seen them so many times, I’m sort of watched out on them. Never got to see the Mr. Magoo one though.

Die Hard is a Christmas movie

I’m with Ralph on that one! The first made-for-tv animated Christmas special, an often overlooked or forgotten gem.

Die Hard and A Muppet Christmas Carol are my two Christmas movie traditions. Anything else is just gratuitous.

I haven’t seen that one for years, but the great music sometimes pops into my head for no reason. Ringle, ringle, coins when they jingle…

My favorite Scrooge!

Magoo’s Christmas Carol is one of my two favorite CC versions. It’s got great songs. The George C Scott version is my other fav.

I love the Die Hard movies, RIP Alan Rickman.

Just watch the ones you want, and skip the ones you don’t. She can go somewhere else to watch hers.

Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol is the BEST ever!! every song! look it up in any film critique, and it’s 5 stars across the board!!

My wife and I have a deal. I’ll sit through her crazy old black-and-white Christmas movies where the adults wear hats and gloves in their own homes, and she’ll sit through my Christmas With the Kranks and Rankin-Bass animated specials.

Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol was the first version of the story that I ever saw, probably in the early 1960’s (not sure when it was made). So it is a sentimental favorite of mine. As for a non-animated version, Alastair Sim as Scrooge will always be the best.

All cartoon Christmas movies, such as Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol, Charlie Brown Christmas, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas are mandatory. Any other movies are negotiable. My personal favorite Christmas Carol movie is the 1970 musical “Scrooge” starring Albert Finney. I memorized most of the songs!

Violent Night, Bad Santa 1 and 2, A Bad Moms Christmas, Die Hard 1 and 2.

By coincidence, my wife and I watched that one just a few weeks ago, after I bought it at a thrift store.

The one live-action Christmas movie that’s a mandatory family tradition here is “Fitzwilly” starring D1ck Van Dyk3 and Barbara Feldon.

And just what word in my original comment is on the banned list, Go Comics?
