Win, Lose, Drew by Drew Litton for July 15, 2015

I think this is a sarcastic jab at the single-mindedness of certain fans, who ignore everything else going on around them..I remember when the Chargers (Dan Fouts days) were in the playoffs and favored to go all the way to the (gasp) Super Bowl when there were some serious Reagan/Soviet saber-rattling going on….…and I actually caught myself praying that the sh*t wouldn’t hit the fan until after the Chargers came home with the trophy..I don’t remember what the scary foreign crisis was, but my takeaway was that I don’t take sports that seriously anymore. Unfortunately, other people can’t – and they have the same sort of fixated mindset on politics as well. They seem to be unable to accept the existence of empirical facts that contradict their political opinions and personal biases.
