It’s not a weather balloon.
Aah, no one will notice.
But they need that to predict weather.
Brings to mind “he Adventures of the Mad Scientist’s Club” by Bertrand Brinley. Loved those stories when I was a kid.
Are they Luke and Owen Skywalker. The white shirt looks awfully familiar.
“Our weather today is dominated by a squadron of Air Force fighter planes attacking a helium balloon. Continued squadron this morning, followed by a loud POP and then just fumes for the evening commute.”
It’s about time someone broke the true story of weather balloons!
Actually, when you look at a more or less spherical shape through a telescope, the foreshortening makes it look like a disk — that may well be the origin of the flying saucer myth.
