Even worse when you find a podcast with a backlog of 600 90-120 minute episodes and it’s not topical so you can just listen to all of ‘em and they don’t feel dated.

Been going through one every other day and I’m still barely a quarter the way through.

I empathize. My to read / to play / to watch list is positively massive.

Still don’t have a smartphone. Still being dragged into this century kicking & screaming. Ah, the gift of the spectrum…

Good thing about digital devices, you can play them at 2X or even 3X speed.

Yep, she did hit subscribe way too many times. Her total debt is somewhat larger then the total GDP of Italy!!

Part of why I couldn’t get into podcasts—It’s not that I’m necessarily uninterested, it’s just I don’t have the time for it!

Everyone knows that the weight of your phone is directly proportional to the gravitas of what you’ve put on it.

Missing the subtle newspaper headline in this strip as Bill Amend usually does. Something like “Cartoonist Wins World Series MVP.”

I have a better one: Your phone shocks you anytime you try to text or open a social app while driving.

how do people find time to listen? By time I’m home from work, check for emails from family, do chores its time for bed. Looking at Go Comics absorbs the little free time I have left.

All this maths is very rough and speculative, but it at least gives us a general idea of what we’re dealing with. When all the calculations are worked out, the final figure is 5.7 quintillion terabytes of data would equal 7 grams.

If that doesn’t mean much to you, it’s about four quadrillion times the estimated size of the human memory (1.25 terabytes), or enough data to fill roughly 40 quadrillion large (128 GB) iPhone 6s handsets.

In other words, put as many photos and movies on your phone as you like, because you’re an unimaginably long way from making any perceptible difference to its weight – even though each extra byte adds a little more.

I’ve found that podcasts are like most products of modern TV and the internet age: 4% of it is awesome; another 10-15% is listenable; the rest is worthless, mind-rotting garbage. Now get off my lawn…

Thankfully I’m not that much of an addict for Podcasts especially since I have other hobbies to keep me busy. Movies, tv shows, comics.

“Watch later” or “subscribed” is not the same as “downloaded”. You will get a “not enough memory” error, if you try to download a lifetime of podcasts.
