If the computer is encased in ice, Paige shouldn’t have been able to perform any of those actions, plus I’m pretty sure the computer would be damaged beyond repair. Yes, I know it’s just a gag for how stingy Andy is in keeping the thermostat set abysmally low in the winter.

why not try a flamethrower? that’ll get it warmed up real quick. :D

these “stingy with the thermostat” jokes are actually some of the most absurd in the comic’s history. Given how cold it apparently IS in their house the only options are that there is pretty much NO insulation at all, meaning any heat that is generated immediately escapes, so no matter how low the thermostat is set it’s still wasting tons of energy just making heat that isn’t retained. Or, (and this is plausible because they’ve often made jokes about how it’s warmer outside) the idiot is actually running the air conditioning in the winter, which means she’s actually using energy to make the house even colder, perhaps under some stupid theory that “heat costs money, so cold must make money” which I wouldn’t put past her because like I’ve said before, she is a horrible wife and mother.

How are you able to press any buttons on the computer if it is covered in ice? For that matter, why is it the only thing covered in ice in the house if the inside temp is that cold?

Gotta let those tubes warm up in the computer

With the price of oil going up so much, that might happen.
