PHANTOM: I thought so….the prop plane is just to get a international airport in Texas (DFW). This story is getting interesting! FOXTROT: This is a strip from 2000. I like Raspberryice54’s comment posing the question as to who Roger would vote for in 2012.
APT 3-G: I’m still not sure why Ruby did the double-take (yesterday)??FUNKY W: I don’t get it (today). Will someone please explain. ??JUDGE PARKER: I agree with Abbey. By paying for the guitar lessons, Sophie is creating a situation where Derek will get to know her. Of course, S. will also get to know D. – and maybe her opinion of him will change. Time will tell…a relationship might develop…or there could be a complete reversal of interest/lack of interest.MARK TRAIL: We still don’t know WHERE Mother McQ. got the gold and WHY the Bible verse was on the band. Will finding these answers have any bearing on how Mark and Kelly handle the story?MARY WORTH: Credit card registries have gotten rather expensive, but in the event of an experience like this, just a single call right away (from the restaurant) would have been an easy and immediate way to handle it. In the past, blocking use of the credit cards would have been all Mary needed to do…but in today’s world she may also have to deal with I.D. theft issues. I think the latter issue may be where this story is going.REX MORGAN: Niki has Rex’s attention.
Apartment 3-G – Fickle female.Funky Winkerbean – I don’t get it either.Judge Parker – You can’t buy friends.Mandrake – This is spooky! Gol-durn it!Mark Trail – I hate irresponsible journalism.Mary Worth – I think Mary’s in good shape, here. She’s taking immediate action.Phantom – I’m glad they straightened that out. I was afraid they were going to try to cross the Pacific in that prop job.Rex Morgan – Florchi’s right. That got his attention right quick.Annie – Here’s the link to Today’s Annie .
A3G – Ruby did look angry yesterday. But that may just be an “art” problem. I think she was just surprised that Lu Ann didn’t know what her dream dress would be. And I think the dress decision represents her ambivalence about the marriage.Rex – I think we know where this is going. Let’s get there.Judge – We see how Abb handles Sam.Mary Worth – Most stores ask for a photo ID. But ordering online is a different matter.Mandrake – Is his reluctance fear or because he’s in cahoots with “them”.
I’m not really familiar with the characters on Funky, but it seems to me that the lady making the comment is, shall we say, less-than-friendly. If this is her established attitude, then today’s strip would be her way of saying, “please fill out the ballot correctly so we don’t have to redo it.”
Apartment 3-G – it would make sense that Ruby’s surprised reaction was to being assumed to be LuAnn’s mother. However, I agree with Marvee that she’s surprised LuAnn hasn’t given thought to the dress (because she’s distracted by her second-thoughts)
Mark Trail – gold, bible verses, tame animals…are they in Heaven?
Phantom – looks like its just the two of them teamed-up
Judge Parker – Derek doesn’t seem as mature as Sophie.
@Marvee: My ATM card was stolen 2 years ago. It did NOT have my photo on it. The thief took it to the AQpple Store and bought something for $2,000. After months of trying to get a video of the transaction, they told me no video was available. My bank refused to reimburse, saying the signature was mine – it not only didn’t look like mine, but the thief had no sample of my signature as I had written where it asks for signature, “See Photo IID.”
I have heard from several people that thieves may know people who work in the stores and those employees often accomodate the thieves.
APT 3G: Today’s art work had to be drawn by the female of the two cartoonists
