One cannot have enough Cappa Magnas around. I know that MY faith is strengthened, when I see more Cardinals and Cardinal-Wannabes trotting around in these things, (Modernists be damned.) BTW, Don’t forget the gloves and gaudy rings!

Who am I to judge an art I cannot create? But this really seems to capture the spirit of tne new pope.

What? Only two strips so far? Does that mean that the Vatican slapped the cartoonist with a “cease and desist order”? Hope not! I love it!

Reminds me of Atlanta’s Bishop – got a big donation and built himself a $2.2M mansion. I mean, hovel. Now he’s going to sell it.

@ Kaffekup: For $3.2M, most likely…and then he’ll get himself (and the money) “reassigned” to a country without an extradition treaty the way Cardinal Bernard Law(less) got himself “reassigned” to the Vatican after the pedophile-priest scandal. Francis may very well be everything that he is touted to be (I’m still firmly on thfence in that regard); but as an institution, I think that the Vatican is corrupt to the core.

I don’t think he’s corrupt, just self-indulgent. Give some people some power and they think the world owes them everything.So far, Francis seems to be the exception to the rule.

I love this comic! Francis touches the heart; it would be great to see more of it!!
