Lyrics for A Song Of The Weather by Flanders & Swann/ January brings the snowMakes your feet and fingers glow/ February′s ice and sleet/ Freeze the toes right off your feet/
Welcome March with wintry wind/ Would thou wert not so unkind
Something rare in central VA – a day at or below freezing. Wind will take it lower. At my age, that’s enough adventure. Pantry stocked, blankets stacked, power on [we hope it will remain so], coffee perking. We’ll sit this one out.
Hope the best for all friends. Be safe and be well.
Panel 4 features a most unusual expression on a character in Frazz. 99.9% of the mouths you see are just like the other 4 depictions (and one non-depiction) in this particular strip. Artistic experimentation?

So we have months leading up to “brr” ending in “ber,” and then months ending in “y” as in “‘Y is it so cold?”

I used to live in Wyoming were below 0 temps were not that unusual. Having a frozen beard & ’stash is a real pain, both literally and figuratively.

Winter months include December and March (in the northern hemisphere).

Another one that won’t translate well for the non-English speaking markets — even in the Northern Hemisphere.

A slang term that will never catch on.

Caulfield has a point. Come to think, it’s only January and February that sound like that. It’s been very January here this past week!
