One of the metrics is how much of you is sweating: No part at all for the cool end, through pits, top of belly, forehead… until at about 105º (for me) I’m pretty much sweaty all over.

The Swede Anders Celsius devised the ‘centigrade’ scale of one hundred degrees between the freezing and boiling points of water. But it was Englishman Robert Hook who came up with the idea that zero should be at the cold end and 100 at the hot end!

There is no limit to the ice cream zone.

But it’s always running weather for Frazz.

Sweat weather, if not just melt and die!!

Oh, believe me, it is popsicle weather!

What I want is in addition to temperature, wet bulb temperature.

Heat index isn’t really a temperature and units don’t matter as long as you know what they are.

I don’t see why the differentiation between ice cream cones and Popsicles. If it’s hot enough for one, it’s hot enough for the other—no?

Strolling vendors in Mongolia sell pre-made ice cream cones (no popscicles) from a bucket… in the dead of winter (and they really have serious winter there)

Feral or Civilized?

OK, that’s the temperature part of the weather report. I can hardly wait to hear what the analogy’s going to be about wind speed.

As long stuff like heat index, and wind chill, what’s known as feels like, is unavoidable, shouldn’t that be considered the actual temperature?

So warm you can’t eat the ice cream fast enough to avoid a brain freeze. But we’ll all keep trying.

You mean he can’t look at a weather app on his phone?!

Personally, I eat both Popsicles and ice cream year-round.
