Eww! That can be kind of stinky. Just think about anything in there from the butcher. I know mind over matter rarely, if ever, works for me either.

Could be worse, it could be Haggis.

Cheese, any cheese, no matter how stinky… my guys wouldn’t have been able to resist gobbling it down.

And it doesn’t help that as a basset hound he has one of the strongest senses of smell.

And it covers the smell of the sausages.

Camembert? It’s… it’s a bit runny. Well, it’s very runny, actually, sir. I think it’s a bit runnier than you’ll like it, sir. …. oooooh, the cat’s eaten it.

And it’s an uncomfortable shape for our Fred!

Fred be proud that you are helpful, and dependable. My dogs would have demolished the contents of the basket immediately—then maybe started on the basket—LOL

Just be grateful the basket was still there after you left it behind

We do feel with you, Fred. Perhaps Mrs. Dear should get this kind of backpack I saw on dogs who accompanied their hiking families. This way the stinky cheese would be behind your face and anyway it would be easier to carry and not forget somewhere. What do you think? Could be your next Christmas present ;-)

Camembert isn’t too bad. There are much stinkier cheeses around.
