The issue isnt the getting wet, its the getting too cold and then it’s no fun

as a kid the best time to going swimming was after the rain, pool was empty of people and it seemed warmer (probably due to being open air and heating running harder)

Weather is a wet blanket, huh? At least it’s better this way then to wet yourself.

I miss the warm summers rains that were part of my childhood in Illinois. In Oregon, it’s hot and dry or cold and drizzly.

Garfield does have a point.

Mother Nature just loves pulling these stunts on Jon.

My pool water is a brisk 72 degrees. Though when it rains, the temp rises up. And swimming in the rain isn’t a problem as I have an overhead pool cover, though lightning is a problem.

It’s not the rain. It’s what follows. Thunder and lighting so very very frighting.

Looks like the rain washed away Jon’s wig and exposed his balding head.

We once had a Disney water park to ourselves as a hurricane passed by- no lightning, but everyone else cleared out.

yeah. sure isn’t the time to wash the car either.

Nasty wisdom bump there. Too bad it clearly is out of order…

Getting wet while in a pool. That is the point, after all.

Unless there was lightning, rain wouldn’t keep us out of a pool when we were kids. (lightning wouldn’t either unless there were adults around)

Life just isn’t fair, is it, Jon? Especially if the universe is constantly conspiring against you.

My wife (who is in a nursing home) and I went on a beach date this past Friday. About an hour after we got there, there was thunder in the distance. There was a mass exodus from the beach. (We still enjoyed the time with each other.)

The public pools here clear the pools whenever it rains. Never know when lightning will strike. They should go by When thunder roars, go indoors!!!

I enjoy swimming in the rain! It just can’r be thundering and lightinging.;)

Talk about worrying about a few drops of rain just before one falls in a lake. ;)

Garfield just doesn’t understand.

It’s raining in the summer

We have a VHS tape from a visit to River Country (Walt Disney World’s old water park) in 1986. It started raining, and sure enough, there are parents at the water’s edge yelling for their kids to come out of the lake because it’s raining.
