Dating Jon is not a sign of bravery. It is a sign of insanity. Liz has needed a vacation with the nice men in the clean white coats and the rubber rooms for a long time now.
Did Liz disappear in the 3rd panel because Jon all a sudden is talking about her in the third person? Could it be that Liz isn’t afraid because she is a ghost herself?
I wish I knew the date in which Liz finally accepted Jon and they began their relationship, it was sometime between the time our local newspaper incredibly dropped “Garfield” from their lineup and before it occurred to me to look it up on The Web. If I knew the date that it happened I could go to the archives and read it from there.

Liz is so brave. Dating such a dangerous guy like Jon is enough to give her a medal. No wonder she ain’t afraid of ghosts.

It’s only brave when you’re not scared of something you think is real.

the question should be “are you afraid of showing out in public with me and introduce me to your parents?”

That’s the difference between Jon and Liz, Jon is such a wuss, and Liz isn’t.

More than guts, Liz needs (very) thick skin and a high tolerance of goofiness to date Jon and be seen with him in public.

I feel like Garfield is in the room when Jon does things in “private”.

Liz, you can protect Jon from the ghosts…
Sometime when you’re in bed and the lights are off, look at an object in the dark and it will start to look like it’s moving!

She’s not the only girl who had enough courage to date him. Back in the day, there was one girl who said she was raised by wolves; and she was cute.

Dear fatty feline, don’t bite the hands that feed you. Sometimes your adjectives are way too insinuating to the owner who feeds you.

is there going to be more of a story with Liz? Would love to see John get married and have kids
