There are students that are a joy to teach and then there are students who aren’t. Had one who was so bad about half the staff who had to deal with her seriously considered quitting.
I enjoyed teaching kids that wanted to learn. The ones that didn’t want to learn were more of a challenge and I found that if they are presented with a challenge in a field they are interested in, they engage and learn. When they discover how to learn, they gradually apply themselves to other fields and become successful as a student.

Teaching those twins should have Mr. D. in a wheelchair by now, eating his lunch through a straw.

I had hair on my head when I started teaching. It was all but gone when I bailed out.
