The remote workplace must surely have adapted to continue the back stabbing.

I was small in Junior High and high school, 4’ 11" as a junior. But I actually enjoyed dodge ball, ya got to be quick. Society is so concerned about feelings today, that kids are really not prepared to cope in the real world any more.

My introduction to nasty politics was in the military at the senior enlisted positions (E8/E9) – but that was understandable in a way because there were so few of them compared to E1-E7 positions. I figured when I moved into the civilian world, the politics would be similar but I found that it started at the entry level positions and the back stabbing just worse as you moved up the ladder…

Take care of the bullies and you won’t have to worry about it.

That was why I turned down a manager position, and stayed in a union job at the last company I worked for. The pay was not any better, the retirement might have been, bu there was no security in management. Get on the wrong side of someone and you could be gone.

And you’ve certainly never had to answer phones—-which Sting must have had in mind with his line, “It’s hard to tell the poison from the cure.”
