    The power didn’t have to be out but: Hyde and Seek at dusk. Rolled down the hill in the cool grass. Rode bikes played with my trucks in the driveway and dirt. Took my friends kids at times and did the same thing with them. They enjoyed it. Playing video games with them makes it easier to use the video for backing up a vehicle now. :>)

    Alone in the dark lets your imagination run wild. From spooky noises to romantic encounters, always did enjoy those nights.

    People went to bed soon after dinner. If they stayed up they had to use candlelight to read by or play card and board games such as they had. If someone had a piano (or pianoforte as it was called then) someone might play it.

    tell ghost stories, read and play games by candle or oil lamp light, battery powered radio
