Do you want to see my driver’s license or my Medicare card?

Since I’ve gone silver, carding is avoided!

True story: I’m 69, balding and the hair I have is gray. In other words I look like I’m of legal age. We go into a bar in Savannah (which I won’t name but the initials are Churchills) and the young lady with a thick Russian accent behind the bar said state law requires they card everyone. My wife and I shared some jokes about the fake IDs we used in college. So this young woman starts staring intently at our Ohio drivers licenses for an extended period of time and tells us she thinks they’re fraudulent. So I ask her why two people well into their 60s use fraudulent drivers licenses? And she tells us she thinks we are state agents trying to sting them. We went down the street and won’t ever return

In some areas, it is mandatory to “card” anyone who looks younger than 30 years old.

We get carded at the grocery store for non-alcoholic beer. I’ve yet to figure that one out.
