Even considering graphic novels as books, I still choose to read a book. They are more fun than graphics because I imagine the things I read.

Given that the “diorama” is nothing but three ghosts and gives NO idea of the book’s plot or characters – C- is exceedingly generous.

She got her teacher to consider graphic novels and he didn’t flunk her, tho’ a C- is as low as you can get before entering what we lil devils called “Dunce Town” with what we tho’t was a great deal of ingenuity and hilarity.

Panel 3 reminds me of the end of “Happy New Year, Charlie Brown,” where he had to do a book report on “War and Peace”.

When I was in school back in the "60"s they were called “Classics Illustrated”. Got some good book reports out of them at the last minute.
