This strip is completely wrong. First – Obama didn’t wreck the economy, he saved it from falling into a deeper, darker hole than it’s already in. Second – business is NOT hurting, working people are. Corporations are sitting on a ton of cash, but they’re not hiring anybody or investing in anything,
CK, if you could handle the truth, I’d suggest you consider how many of your “global corporation” boogie men are actually big time DNC machinery operations run by Democrats, boarded by Democrats and their agents. Look up GE and Xerox to get started.
Cannie, we know that the federal government caused the recession by meddling in the housing market (a Clinton policy) and bipartisan reckless spending (causing big deficits).
What problem in our own lives can we solve by doing more of the same? By any measure, the stimulus program was a failure and prolonged the recession. In fact, some recent studies have concluded that FDR prolonged the Great Depression with his tampering with the economy.

Care to guess what Obama will say on Thursday? More federal spending and bigger deficits. Of course, the first “stimulus” worked so well.
