Top Ten list of reasons I'm not funny anymore.
10. I worship Obama. 9. I worship Obama. 8. I worship Obama. 7. I worship Obama. 6. I worship Obama. 5. I worship Obama. 4. I worship Obama. 3. I worship Obama.
That’s a good caricature of Letterman, but that list isn’t why I think he’s not funny anymore. I don’t think he’s funny anymore because he’s forgotten how to improvise. When CBS re-ran that one with Robin Williams, it was Robin who kept the audience laughing, not Letterman.
One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen on TV was in Letterman’s first year on CBS, when he had the Rockettes deliver a pizza. He’s gone way downhill since then. . .
Don’t watch Letterman that often, but what I find is this: like Colbert and Jon Stewart, he actually treats his guests with respect, while teasing them, yes, but with respect. That is opposed by all the “conswervative” interviewers at Faux, CNN (yes they ARE “conswervatives”) and on “talk” (should be shout) radio, who only insult their guests if even SLIGHTLY DIFFERING in opinion, or position. That’s if they let the get a word in edgewise, at all.
Top Ten reasons Rush et. al. are idiots: They open their mouths, but not their minds, times ten to the tenth power.
David Letterman has become a pathetic over the hill joke. He has forgotten that its about entertaining the audience. And being a political hack and polarizing people is not entertaining. Johnny Carson he is not!

Of course, if you want to see “Mitt’s minions”, they’re shown often on “Jay walking”, where knowing nothing is the journey to fame.

Letterman jumped the shark during Bush 1. Half the voters today can’t remember a time when he WAS funny.
