I was disappointed that the background check bill was voted down. I do see some relevance in this cartoon though. Congress always seems to feel that they can fix everything by new legislation. Our problems for violence and mental health issues go much deeper than they are willing to address.

No need for any laws. Criminals will just disobey them.

We had a homicide committed with a barbecue fork a year ago, so naturally the “gun folks” are sure we’ll have laws passed to seize barbecue forks. NRA panic = paranoids.
