I have made shelves like that. Added members to create T-beam effect, increased the second moment of area.
There ARE three books, so they can be referred to as “all”… But better to make the shelf out of a solid piece of wood, or wood substitute, rather than corrugated cardboard like this one…
Looks like he is sitting underneath the shelf, so will feel the consequences of too many books.
There’s no point in doing it right the first time. You don’t learn anything that way.
Always use wood. Particle board always sags in a year or two.
