NEVER give a cat a belly rub if you value your life. Head rubs are much more appreciated.

This is the main reason why your cat doesn’t try to eat you. Housecats have been around people long enough to know that if they DID try to eat you, they might only get 3 or 4 good meals. But if they DIDN’T try to eat you, they would get reliable food of their choosing for their lifetime.
