Do they all (except perhaps #2) have clubs of both handednesses? I would expect the dots Werner has drawn on each non-putter to be on only one side, but he has them on both.

It looked to me that the killer putter was a left handed one.

The killer should have taken the victim’s putter.

The criminal should have stolen the putter in panel #1’s bag to replace the weapon.

Well, the second golfer does not have a putter in his GOLF BAG, I bet.

Yeah, I noticed that lack of a putter there, but wouldn’t his partners have noticed at the last hole, that he has no putter? What did he do, putt with a 5-iron? Then there’s the weirdness that all five, including the victim, are apparently solo players.

And the last one’s behavior is certainly suspicious.

although not likely, the ‘suspect’ could easily have been holding the putter in his left hand…

If he was killed in the “middle” of his game shouldn’t he be on the 8/9 hole. The second golfer is only on the 3rd hole (wearing an identical red cap and blue shirt) if we allow the Inspector 30 minutes to arrive at the crime scene he likely started after the murder. So for a single golfer allowing 10 minutes per hole the guilty golfer should be 3/4 holes pass the crime scene. The deceased still has his cap on, after repeatedly being bashed on the head? If I murdered someone I would not play through and stay at the crime scene.

it was easy to work out, i just can’t believe a golfer would leave a putter behind.

It’s obvious that this was a case of suicide.

If a putter was used as the murder weapon shouldn’t it should still be embedded in his skull or at least covered in blood and brain. I doubt it is heavy enough to kill with one blow. Likely it would required repeated blows until until the skull is penetrated Besides it looks like it has a wood shaft which like would break after one or two blows
