Ouch! Ted is the epidemy of someone drunk on power. After Trump treated him like trash in the 2016 debates (Lyin’ Ted), but now it behooves him to shove his head up Trump’s a$$ to access Trump’s base. The man has not scruples, principles, values or anything else that is of merit, beyond his self centered arrogance.

Obviously, we need to stick with the tried and true method of only selecting Supreme Court justices from the pool of ~13,000 Yale Law School alumni or ~38,000 Harvard Law School alumni. Instead of limiting us to the 6% of the US population Ted Cruz is concerned with, we can keep on pulling from the same well-connected 0.015% we have been. To keep things fair.

It’s actually 13.4% of the population. So one in 8 or so. How many supreme court justices are there? 9. It’s obvious i’n’it.

Since those on the right say they see no color, it shouldn’t matter to them if 100% of the Supreme Court were non-white.

Since they say they see no gender in selection, it shouldn’t matter to them if, say, 100% of those non-white justices were also women.

I for one, would be perfectly comfortable with a Supreme Court completely absent of white men. We have certainly tried it with only white men.

I’m in Texas. I would be willing to accept a substantial amount of extra freezing in order to get rid of Cruz. I am sick and tired of seeing his name on a ballot. I know it only happens once every 6 years, but with Cruz, that is WAY too often.

it just boggles my mind that the GOP would make this an issue. they feel that noting that appointing a minority woman is racist when just about all of the Supreme Court Justices have been white males – with few exceptions. And they make snide remarks such as, “if Biden appoints such a candidate they must know the difference between a law book and a J. Crew catalog”. Trump’s pick have not been good candidate – Kavanaugh definitely wasn’t able to distinguish between a law book and a J. Crew catalog.

Misquoted and out of context, not the point is not about the judge being a black woman is the manner of the announcement . And if you knew Ted Cruz for a few minutes you would know he is no racist . Biden ha said way way more actually racist things not to mention he was actually buddies with at least 2 declared kkk . But that doesn’t bother ya all

Census has 14.2% of US population is black. Half of that (of course) is 7.1%. So Ohman is off 1.1%

I’m quite sure that any of Biden’s potential candidates are far more qualified for the job than Cruz is for his job. Low bar, I know!
