Yes! It’s true! Jacob Chansley (better known as the Q-Anon Shaman) has announced his candidacy for congressman from Arizona!

Convicted for his role in an insurrection on January 6 and famously occupying the dais at the front of the Senate chamber, he served 27 months of a 41 month sentence, was released earlier this year, and now wants to run for Congress.

I guess having tasted the Senate chamber, he now wants to see the inside of the House chamber, which the rioters stopped (ask Ashli Babbitt what happens to violent traitors).

While I’m sure the Q-Anon Shaman running for congress has the late-night comedians salivating, this guy has been CONVICTED in a court of law for INSURRECTION. Surely Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment has got to apply in disqualifying him.

    But props for chutzpah.

I thought the 14th amendment was supposed to take care of him and other seditionists.

    Why not?

It’s not as if Republicans HAVE a rock bottom.

Tell me how this lunatic is any different than the lunatics already sitting in the House and Senate. Don’t forget the wannabe werewolf that almost made it to D.C.

Careful, Wiz. There are a lot of Magahats out there who WILL vote for him. Add gerrymanders, voter suppression, voter purges and Karl rove into the mix and he just might get in!

Well he was already allowed to have a tour of the Capitol, so he must not be that dangerous.
