I think that Jeff is being sarcastically satirical about priorities. Not only re the athletes but anyone who follows college B-Ball. The era of the student-athlete (at the elite level at the least) is a memory only.
Those faces are not the faces of college B-ball players. (Nor are the physiques, but I won’t go there)
I hate to think I see our current National Reprobates™ everywhere I look, but the one on the left looks a bit like Jim Jordan, and the one facing the dribbler looks a little like Trump.
