How’s he doing with the illegal ones?

Oh, stop! We all know Trump will pay off all his debts as soon as he’s sworn in as POTUS. Right? He’ll just raid the IRS’s “fun money pool”.

Even if Perp45 appeals the Carroll and expected penalty today in the NY fraud case (as much as $370 million), he has to first put up these amounts of money. Or pay a bonding company 10% and put up collateral (real estate?). Or, most likely, soak his MAGAts to help him in these “witch hunts”, although $450 million will necessitate lots of appeals. We’ll see him on tv and social media begging for money more than a TV evangelical.

What does freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose mean?

It means that if you’ve lost everything (relationships, property, money, etc.) and have nothing left that you can lose, you no longer have to worry about what you might lose as a consequence of your actions.

    Is this what we’re seeing?

    A) when his daughter in law takes over the RNC she has stated openly that ALL RNC money will go to pay trumps legal costs.

    B) every time trump is charged with another crime his cult members write him more checks

    C) trump himself has never ACTUALLY paid his lawyers anyway. Particularly when he loses the case.

Could we {please} have a scenario where his lawyers start deserting him {more than what has ALREADY happened} during his trials? I notice that most of his current lawyers require an upfront down payment in real cash in a real account that they control, BEFORE they agree to represent. What a guy!

Trump is running out of money to pay his rape victims, losing lawyers, and his upcoming fines for insurance, bank, and tax fraud. Hey MAGAS, keep donating to those causes while complaining about inflation.

If you didn’t look at the fine print that campaign contribution made to tRump became an automatic monthly withdrawal from your bank account. When that scheme runs out, and stiffing naïve lawyers no longer is an option, tRump will likely be part of Putin’s budget.

Navalny’s mother: He was recently ‘alive, healthy and full of life’

The mother of jailed Kremlin opponent Alexei Navalny has commented on the reports of her son’s death in a Russian prison camp. “I don’t want to hear any expressions of sympathy,” she was quoted as saying on Friday by independent newspaper Novaya Gazeta. She last saw her son during a visit to the prison camp last Monday, she added. “He was alive, healthy and full of life.” Supporters of Navalny said earlier they have not yet received direct confirmation of his death and have only seen a general announcement issued by the prison system.

That’s what Trump would like to do to his political opponents.

Biden says Putin is at fault, don’t vote for the Trump Putin party, vote American.

A New York judge on Friday handed Donald J. Trump a crushing defeat in his civil fraud case, finding the former president liable for conspiring to manipulate his net worth and ordering him to pay a penalty of more than $350 million that could wipe out his entire stockpile of cash.9 mins ago

Conservative icon George F. Will: In its 170 years, the Republican Party has had occasions of nobility. In its infancy, it redefined the Union while preserving it. Ten decades later, larger percentages of House and Senate Republicans than of House and Senate Democrats voted for the nation-transforming 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

Today, however, substantial numbers of insubstantial congressional Republicans are contemplating an ignoble act whose imprudence exceeds even its pettiness. These Republicans could, by denying Ukraine the material means of resistance, hand Russian President Vladimir Putin a victory that might be just the beginning of Putin’s war for the restoration of “Greater Russia.”

Putin, who has made two wagers, quickly lost the first when he failed to quickly overrun Ukraine. He might, however, win his second wager: that the United States will live down to his disdain for what he considers its decadence. Surely his contempt is partly a response to former president Donald Trump’s political durability, which Putin understands is evidence of America’s retreat from seriousness.
