So s, When you invested in your small business, did it pay you back immediately? I bet it was ten years or more before the business was paid for, but now you enjoy a comfortable income. That is, unless mama paid for it for you.
Unless you can show me exactly how Mobil Oil or Conoco/Phillips has “suppressed” GE or anyone else from doing research into solar or wind power, I will continue to regard those stupid remarks to be as uninformed as they are asinine.
@s, many of the drawbacks to solar and wind could have been solved if research had not been suppressed by the fossil fuel people. Perhaps you’re too young to remember when “nobody wanted/needed a computer in their home” or when portable phones were like handbags. Where there’s money for development, obstacles are overcome. Imagine if all the funds were available that have been invested in developing technologies like fracking and deep sea oil exploration, fossil fuels that were “impossible” to exploit just a few years ago.

Fracking can (and does) mess with our water. Water IS the more important of the two.

The “Frackers” will ruin a lot of nature and some of our most precious natural resource, WATER!

FWIW? I’m impressed, and I agree wholeheartedly.
