The cartoon is about the stupid proliferation of guns in American society. Guns kill their owners at far higher rates than they kill “evil doers.” See the recent volunteers guarding military recruitment centers — already two accidental discharges, thank God no one was hurt. Keep guns away from me, please, especially in the hands of self-styled neighborhood watchers.
