That big, wild, uncontrolled animal in the Oval Office is no longer an elephant.
The elephant is intelligent, sensitive and remembers relationships across decades. It was an apt metaphor when Thomas Nast created the image in the late 1800’s for the party of Abraham Lincoln, his personal friend Ulysses S. Grant, and later Republican icons such as Teddy Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower.
Today’s TrumpubliCONs — NOT your father’s Republican Party.
Not the party of Lincoln.
Not the party of Teddy Roosevelt.
Not the party of Eisenhower.
A more apt symbol for the party of Nixon, Bush and Trump would be the bull. They all produce plenty of bull crap, and Trump is definitely the bull in the China shop. Or Russian shop.
They will say they support him until their local poll numbers start to drop. THEN watch the tap-dancing, back-stepping, and spin-doctoring begin as they try to explain that they were REALLY against the wall all along…
We have a Constitution, but Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell and the ReTrumplican Senate would rather support the Republican Party and their leader, Donald J. Trump than support “We the people.” MAGA-HA-HA. It was a nice republic while it lasted. Welcome to the Dictatorship of the United States, the Christian version of an Islamic Republic.
I note that the republican desk does not have a modesty panel. Would that make it easier for our representatives to play kneesees with lobbyists and to pass fat envelopes unseen?
To the current GOP leadership, the Constitution is just a suggestion to be disregarded at will. It’s only a piece of paper, after all. Except the Second Amendment, of course. Got to keep that source of blood-money donations rolling in.

That’s a pretty accurate representation of the moral cowards in our Congress. Then there’s our local rep; he backs the would-be tyrant.

Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell and their co-horts of the “NO MORALS MAJORITY” truly bring shame to the United States!
