We need some plain heroes in real life.

There are many real life “plain heroes” but, being plain, just don’t get the same media exposure as made up fictional “super” heroes. Perhaps we should take the time to remember the plain heroes of real life more often than made up, fantasy superheroes that don’t really even exist.

It’s called show “business” and they are the most ruthless capitalists on the planet. If it sells, they offer it.

It’s our modern version of Mythology. Much like the game of Monopoly in the Great Depression, it lets us step out of our daily humdrum into the world of imagination. And imagination is the source of hope, and hope is the source of positive change.

that would be true if the ‘bad guy’ element was controlled once and for all. But they keep turning up. Seems real life also enjoys its sequels.

The real hero will be the one who takes down deranged Donald.

If I could remain a nice guy in today’s world, I would claim that as my superpower.

Because plain heroes get trivialized, mocked, ridiculed and given infantile nicknames by the moron in the White House

Calvin & Hobbes discussed this the other way around – with plain villains instead of super-villains.
