You can join the military at 16. He was NOT legally engaged in open carry; WI law only allows 18+ to do that. He IS old enough to get a full-time job, pay taxes and the like, though….

He’s been charged with being too young to have the gun. So this cartoon is factually wrong as it would be no different than a 17 year old killing someone from drunk driving – the 17 year old shouldn’t have been drinking. With that said, the police should have arrested him earlier in the evening instead of giving him water. That was a grave error! And there is creedence that had he been black, he may have been shot when he tresspassed near the officers though with the heightened tensions, that’s not absolutely clear.

Actually, open carry is illegal in Wisconsin for minors. The cops just let him go because they perceived him as being on their side.

According to the Trump Commercial put on by the NRA, in Joe Biden’s America – the gun used by Kyle Rittenhouse would have been taken away from him. But as Tucker Carlson essentially said, “That’s why we arm white people.” What he actually said was that Kyle was just upholding law and order – vigilante justice – white justice – Trump justice in America. Let the lynchings begin.

According to the Trump Commercial put on by the NRA, a woman can have a gun at the ready on the seat of her car, but if a black man tells the police that he has a knife on the floor of his car, he gets shot 7 times in the back. Those police are truly Storm Troopers, in particular, Imperial Storm Troopers: their marksmanship is so bad that they have to shoot 7 times to bring down a suspect at point blank range.

I feel a lot safer in Trump’s America where I don’t have to worry about criminals jimmying my back door – all I have to worry about is Homeland Security knocking it off the hinges with a battering ram.

I don’t have to worry about people breaking the side window of my car. I only have to worry about being abducted off the street into an unmarked van by uniformed but unidentified armed white men.

Politics would not be appealing if facts, statistics, and measurements were to replace innuendo and perceptions. If we didn’t have the world’s largest military and an increasingly paramilitary police presence, you could reasonably understand personal protection as a reason for carrying a gun. At 17, you perceive things very differently than you will just a few years later … well, most people do. If guns just stunned but did not kill or injure, would they be as popular? Are we doomed to lowest common denominator thinking ing government?

One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors. Plato

Welcome to the new America. If you can’t persuade them one way, threaten them with violence.

In central VA this summer, during a gathering at the state capitol to discuss weapons ownership, a guy was pictured carrying what looked like a high volume rapid-fire automatic weapon about 6’ long with an air cooled barrel and some ammo belts. His friend carried an automatic rifle and a bag with a half dozen 30-roung mags. They were just two of a large similarly armed crowd.

That was not to convince legislators to vote the bill but to intimidate anyone who disagreed. Would any of them have used those weapons? They said, ‘Nah,’ as if it couldn’t happen. Oh really?

America has let the 2nd amendment folk take over.. A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Possibly a good idea at the time but now missing the “Well Regulated” part. Encouraged by the NRA and the Republican party it is now a very real danger to society.. and the police/National Guard are afraid to tackle it. Americas version of the Taliban.. just wait.

Again, Trump wants to provoke a race war as a Reichstag Fire distraction, while he strives to set up a fascist police state – and there are plenty of right-wing terrorists who are eager to “help” in that endeavor.

Meanwhile, just yesterday, Trump screamed that “Only the sick and the old get sick and die from the Corona virus, so you all have nothing to fear!”

He did break the law. 17 year olds are not allowed to open carry in WI. Misdemeanor. Actually, a friend’s semi-automatic. I wonder, does the gun get confiscated because it was used in a crime?

Question for you. Why is no one complaining about Grosskreutz?

The man has a Class A misdemeanor. A firearm crime. In fact, he was convicted of “Armed with Firearm While Intoxicated”. Plus disturbing the peace. Plus refusing to comply with police orders.

Yet there he was, with a handgun. Pointed at Rittenhouse.

Most of you haven’t said a word about people like Grosskreutz spending 3 nights torching the businesses of innocent people who have absolutely nothing to do with any of this. Cops are getting hurt, bystanders are getting hurt and even killed. Its been going on for 3 months.

Have any of you read the names Jayvon Hatchett or Steve Sinclair? Why not? Where are those stories? Heinous blatant racially motivated hate crimes. Go ahead. Look them up.

Why are they not getting headlines?

“Wander around” would actually be sort of okay. USING it though, for its intended purpose (killing humans) is the problem. As has been clearly and repeatedly demonstrated. (I just realized that there’s a “demon” in “demonstrate”. Hmm.)
