Apparently the US Constitution, which every candidate quotes as his/her abiding belief while running for office, becomes something to subvert or ignore once elected. Few in congress bother to listen to the oath even as it’s read to them. Most of them hold up their right hands – when someone tells them which it is – and mutter the words while thinking yeah, yeah I get all that Can we get the to perks now?_

The states that have filed briefs to over turn a demonstrably proven election result are holding the US up to ridicule to the rest of the world. The nation that proved time and again that peaceful transitions of power were the gold-standard for continued respect and emulation by other nations is now being compared to preschoolers squabbling over the distribution of blocks and toys in the nursery. The gods are laughing.

Now GOP elected officials are poised to kill more people by humoring Trump’s claims that he won the election. Death threats have been received by government officials in 7 states so far. It’s only a matter of time when Republican complacency in the lies, deceits and hate-speech of Trump results in their “base” literally taking up arms and shooting and killing other people.

But in the GOP mind murdering people is OK, at least they are not rioting, looting and burning down buildings. Now that would be wrong. Property rights are always above human rights in the Republican mind. After all, it cost millions or billions to undo the damage caused by rioters. It doesn’t cost that much to bury or cremate corpses. MAGA.
