It is a fallacy to believe that the only way to preserve these rights for yourself is to prevent others who are not like you from stealing them from you. Granting power to an authority figure to preserve your rights while denying them to others, is granting power to these dictators to take these rights from you.
Pledging Allegiance to the flag, is not pledging allegiance to the country. It is pledging allegiance to the Republic and the document that created it: The Constitution. The shareholders of the Republic are stated in the first three words of this sacred document: written larger and in bolder script than any other words: “We the people.”
Only when “all men” of “we the people” have these rights, will we have one nation, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
Sometimes all that it takes for a good nation to fall to dictatorship is not complicit agreement but complacent silence. It does not matter if that silence is from fear caused by intimidation because once authoritarians win then the fear will truly be far greater.

Q Shaman who identified himself as an Arizonan named Jake Angelini in news interviews in the past is actually Jacob Anthony Chansley of Arizona. He has just been arrested. They need to be charged with things like insurgency, coup, cop killing or accessory to cop killing for those who promoted the attack on the Capitol and assisted the attack on the Capitol, destruction of public buildings and public property, even espionage since they moved private information into seditionist organizations.
Now that Trump has debased the Medal of Freedom beyond recognition, why don’t we offer to give him a dozen of so of them, in assorted colors, if he will simply resign immediately and go the hell away?
I would be perfectly happy if trump were to be arrested on one or more felony charges, and booked into jail. Of course he wouldn’t see the inside of a cell but would be released on recognizance. At least he would have an arrest record.
Then, I would be even happier were he to be convicted on at least one felony count, and sentenced to one day, just one day, in prison. Then, he would have a felony conviction to add to his resume.
(Technically, no one is sentenced to one day in prison, so make it one year, and suspend all but one day. Doesn’t matter to me, I just want to see the loser branded accordingly)
We were told that the long-promised evidence of the rampant voter fraud would be provided to on on January 6th. Where is it Trump? Cruz? Hawley?
Trump told a lie. A majority of the GOP elected officials repeated it and now 5 people have been killed because of it. When words lead to death, they are not protected by the First Amendment or any double-talk from politicians stating that they are just doing what their constituents are telling them in response to the lies they told to them.
Trump is simply delusional. Cruz and Hawley saw repeating Trump’s lies and giving fake hope to the mob as a short cut to a presidential run in 2024. Well, there are at least 4 people who won’t be voting for them since dead people are not allowed to vote.
But 2024 is a long way off. The bodies will be cold and buried and forgotten by then. Texans and Missourians will forget and believe the lies again.
