The GOP emulates the Omerta mafia rule: “What’s said in the family, stays in the family.” Trumpistas, though, have three traits: an inability or unwillingness to accept empirical facts, an inability to admit mistakes or lies, and a lack of morality. At least the mafia only has the latter.
So much for those little things like, you know, “country” and “governance”. With no morality, there is no ethics. They can talk about ripping health care away from millions so their donors get rich, or taking reproductive rights from women (and prosecuting them for it), or the economics of how to imprison and deport millions of people (while separating children from their parents), or attacking the very seat of government, but not the morality of why they should do it in the first place. They truly are worse than the fictional Ferengi.
