Come on, “Business News”. You know as well as anyone else that true “inflation” can’t coexist with record high profit margins.

What we’ve been experiencing is greed-flation due to the second gilded age.

^ It only costs humanity’s future. A small price that you don’t have to worry about; it’s a problem for your descendants to deal with.

From what has been on the news, inflation doesn’t seem to slow people down.

All you gotta do is convince all those corporations that are making record profits (by jacking up prices) to reduce their profit a little in favor of decent wages and conditions for their workers and fair prices for their customers. Should be easy, right?

Yet the evidence continues to suggest otherwise:

There’s no short answer to the problem, Bud. Man up. Just hugs alone ain’t gonna do it. Example: cell phones. Your kids have ‘em and they’ve been comparing ‘gotta haves’ with a hundred or more other kids since June. The gift list will resemble the national budget of a small island country. Enjoy that second mortgage or that equity loan.

YAICFJS – Yet another inflation cartoon from Jeff Stahler.

Climate change, World Cup. Trump calls for disbanding the Constitution, infighting in the Republican Party, Trump dines with Racists, Senate Race in Georgia, dropping gasoline prices!, the War in Ukraine, the Red Wave (or splash of ketchup on the wall at Mar-a-Largo) , the shootdown of Judge “Loose” Cannon and the Special Master, college football playoffs, mass shootings at Walmart (oops, that’s like SO last week), the general hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

Tell them the whole truth. It is world-wide inflation brought on by the Saudis, but Biden has the U.S. with a lower rate of inflation than most other countries. In Biden’s economy the U.S. dollar is very strong, the economy is in growth, record low unemployment, record high working, record high new jobs created, and record high new manufacturing. Inflation is coming down, gasoline is back under $3/gal in many areas, and the stock market has just moved back into a ‘Bull Market’. The shopping records set on ‘Black Friday’ indicate Americans are aware the economy here is a good one.

We went to Costco yesterday and I have never seen the place so crowded. I commented that it is just another symptom of Biden’s failing economy.

According to one report I saw, Americans are spending more this Christmas Season than in the recent past. Is this because they are buying as much stuff and it costs more, or are they really buying more stuff?

I’ve never been a fan of a commercialized Christmas – yes, I know that makes me a bad capitalist.

This year, I am a particular pain in the you-know-what. I need neither socks nor underwear.
