Ad-meisters play on our emotional triggers. Whatever our current society has made of us. Of COURSE they play on various weapon themes: They’re powerful. And self reinforcing, alas.
Please show us exactly how many people have been killed in cold blood by “Sassy Drag Queens” as opposed to how many people have been killed in cold blood by “Armed MAGAotts and 2nd Amendment Worshiping members of the NRA”.
I am so sick of the idiots that do these mass shootings, the other idiots that try to justify these violent acts, and the lack of interest in actually doing something to stop this hate and violence. :P
Republican strategy this election cycle was to specify crime as a high priority. Most violent crimes are statistically less common these days, except murder, which has gone up significantly. The number one weapon used in committing murder? I’ll give you a hint: it isn’t a baseball bat. Hint #2: it isn’t a car.
Republicans say they are the party of the “culture of life”. In the same breath they have never met a war they didn’t like, they’re okay with the death penalty, and they seem to believe that continual gun carnage is just the price we have to pay for a free society.
I thought when Rep. Scalise was shot, Congress might have actually decided to act like reasonable adults. I should have known better.
Every Republican must grasp the truth, political power grows out of the barrel of a gun. The principle is that the GOP commands the gun, and the gun must never be allowed to command the Party. Yet, having guns, we can create affiliated organizations, as witness the powerful NRA organization which has fostered the gun culture in the USA. We can also create other organizations, create special schools, create culture, influence and guide religion. Everything in the USA has been created by having guns. All things grow out of the barrel of a gun. /s
Lauren Boebert’s ‘rhetoric that fuels fear and hate’ called out by Colorado newspaper in scathing editorial
Rep. Lauren Boebert’s critics on both the left and the right were disappointed when the far-right MAGA congresswoman narrowly defeated Democrat Adam Frisch in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District. It was an incredibly close race; as of Friday morning, Nov. 18, Boebert was ahead by only 551 votes in a very GOP-leaning district.
During the campaign, Frisch and his supporters — including some Never Trump conservatives — vehemently called out Boebert as an extremist. The congresswoman has drawn plenty of criticism for her inflammatory anti-Islam and anti-gay comments, and in a scathing editorial published on Nov. 22, the Denver Post’s editorial board argues that her anti-gay rhetoric has contributed to the type of hate that led to the attack on Club Q, a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs. On Saturday, Nov. 19, a gunman killed five people and injured at least 18 others when he attacked Club Q. The day after the attack, Boebert tweeted, “The news out of Colorado Springs is absolutely awful. This morning the victims & their families are in my prayers. This lawless violence needs to end and end quickly.”
Right-wing pastor celebrates Club Q massacre as ‘good thing’ in hate-filled sermon
A Washington state pastor celebrated the mass shooting last weekend at an LGBTQ nightclub that left five people dead.Aaron Thompson, of Sure Foundation Baptist Church in Vancouver, said the massacre was a “good thing” and falsely claimed the victims had been molesting children, although he walked that back moments later by saying their had only been looking at children in an inappropriate way, reported Only Sky.

Even here in the comments sections of GoComics, I’ve seen the trolls try to blame the latest mass shootings on Democrats.

Mass shootings are only a fraction of the amount of gun violence.

Red Flag Laws only work if you use them. This Freak in Colorado should have never been allowed near a firearm.

Drag is men dressed as hyper-sexualized women. It makes for great adult entertainment.
Why anyone thinks a child needs to be exposed to this is disturbing.

Found a good one on Facebook: Okay, let’s say people are the problem, not guns. Then why are we letting the problems have guns?
