“Dance under the lampposts”. Nice.Is that like Aerosmith’s, “Eat the Rich” ?The comparisons between now and 1929 continue to build, especially in income discrepancy. And as long the gov’t continues to loan money to banks at a lower rate than it borrows from banks because employment is above 6%, unemployment is NOT going to go away.Always enjoy you, Michael. You have a wry(rye?) wit and I appreciate you.Sincerely,C.
“System won’t get changed until the next 29 level crash, when the rich won’t have the money to buy off the pols any more.”That’s part of why many of the wealthy keep a stash of money in off shore bank accounts.
Some people go to Washington to govern, not get rich. And being president is not cheap, they have to cover the entire expense of running the white house out of their rather meager salary. And if the rich don’t want to be seen as evil, they could stop doing evil. Look at the GOP refusing to close the hedge-fund loophole to help students refinance college loans, just this morning. Why do Republicans so blatantly wage war on the poor at the behest of the rich?

At this point what difference does it make?

It is a bit silly the way that candidates aren’t running for President until they suddenly are, but I’m not sure what else they should do.
