Give ’em hell, Heller!
I can see that happening and it would serve them right. However, dedication to saving lives tends to require being at least less judgemental.
But don’t get comfortable, FluKluxKlan. Some hospitals are already triaging who’s in need vs who’s too stupid to even try to help themselves.
This country is full of people like that.
I couldn’t care less able the unmasked/unvaxxed crowd, I reserve my concern for those with life threatening conditions (heart attacks, cancer, etc) who cannot be admitted because of all those COVID patients.
They aren’t just endangering themselves, they are endangering everyone else. I had a breakthrough case after being fully vaccinated. But, more importantly, they are serving as mobile petri dishes for the next varient of the virus, and they get stronger as they mutate.
Take heart. According to the latest statistics, over 64% of Americans 16 and older are fully vaccinated and close to 75% have had at least one dose. Also, cases are trending downward nationwide (a few pockets here and there notwithstanding). If we can keep cases declining steadily (as well as deaths), we should be OK. Which is why I am hoping that Biden’s vaccine mandate survives the GOP lawsuits. If the carrot doesn’t work, the stick might. I also applaud the movement by the US (and other countries) to vaccinate developing nations since this is where the newer variants are coming from (Lambda from Peru, Gamma from Brazil, etc.). As Biden said several weeks ago, “We can’t get back to normal until the rest of the world does”. In the meantime, stay strong. All we can control is ourselves. This too shall pass.
