Because it’s more important for laws to be passed to “protect” kids from from being taught actual history, diversity, etc. rather than to protect them from being slaughtered by firearms … /s
Brings to mind an old rhyme from basic training back in the day for recruits (or draftees) who called their weapon a gun. They were instructed to hold their weapon in one hand, and – ahem – something else in the other, and run from barracks to barracks chanting: “This is my rifle. This is my gun. This is for fighting. This is for fun.”
Republicans whine about “Mental Health” being the problem… but what about the mental health of the survivors? The children who are going through lockdown drills and the very real terror of actual incidents? The orphans? The parents whose child was literally torn to pieces at school? Meanwhile, Republicans won’t even discuss red flag laws to keep deadly weapons out of the hands of deranged people. Oh wait. That’s right. Let’s attack all those “trans” people.
Trumps been indicted. We won’t see anymore about Nashville. For your typical political cartoonist; a chance to go after Trump is worth more than 7 dead people, even if 3 of them were 9.

Oh, the irony: The GQP wants to define obscenity when in fact they ARE the obscenity.

Just when you think the Republicans cannot be any more ignorant, they manage to prove that they ARE!

(Too many in the )GOP’s position: “the human body is obscene; now say hello to my little friend”.

The pre-MAGA prudes put a fig leaf on ‘David’ in the 16th century (it was removed in 1912).
The MAGA prudes call it “obscene” in the 21st century, and want it banned. We haven’t come very far, have we?
