Nancy started it? China has been after Taiwan for 74 years. Pelosi’s visit is just another episode in the Long running series.

I wonder if the critics of her visit said the same when a different Congressional delegation visited this past April?

I also wonder were those same critics as critical of Reagan when he told Gorby to “tear down this wall” in 1987? He was criticized by many on both sides of the aisle, and many of his aides tried to “soften” the speech for fear of “poking the bear” a bit too much.(see Ratnesar’s, “Tear Down this Wall”, an excellent book on the speech)As for me, I am not in favor of stirring up trouble, but I am also in favor of our democracy supporting another democracy. Yup, as “schizophrenic” as American policy toward China…

The US should require that all computer hardware, from chips thru glue to cases, to be sold in the US be made (fab, sorting, assembly) in the US or on Taiwan, anyone trying to finesse the requirement to spend the next 20 years in prison, forbidden to have anything to do with computers forever. Execution for a second offence.

Where was the criticism when the Orange One went to Korea and actually took several steps onto North Korean soil? What did that accomplish except bragging rights? And it could have easily been used as an excuse for war, given Kim Jong-un’s mistrust of the US if not downright hatred.
