Something I’ve said at work before. Very large company. If we the real money earners took 3 days off (possibly less), the world would notice. Our Corporate leadership could take 3 months off, and no one would notice at all.
The Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG/AFTRA) may also go on strike if they don’t reach a deal with studios by the end of this month. So, hopefully, they will reach an agreement by then and also the Writers Guild will settle their ongoing strike in a way that benefits them. But should the actors hit the picket line as well, perhaps that would give me a chance to watch the past shows I never got to see since I cut the cable cord years ago (like Breaking Bad or Mad Men). I might even dust off my DVD player and get DVDs from my local library. But my sympathy is with the actors (most of whom aren’t big stars like Tom Cruise or J-Lo, but people working for a living) and the writers who are the unsung heroes of TV and Movies. Just my two cents.
