Hmmmm, interesting to find a Hispanic artist pointing out that 15th Century Spain wasn’t exactly in the forefront of the whole human-rights movement. I chalk it up to principles being more important than cultural solidarity.
The advanced societies, particularly the Aztec, were fierce warriors who defeated the Spanish in battle more than once. They were ultimately conquered by diseases brought by the invaders.

Many native Americans DID attack and KILL pilgrims. Why discard that history? Because it muddies the purity of the waters?
