Do these presidential libraries have a historical purpose or are they just for showing off and apologetics for their decisions.

My answer is bring ‘em on." —President George W. Bush, challenging militants attacking U.S. forces in Iraq, July 2, 2003 -I think they’re in the last throes, if you will, of the insurgency." —Vice President Dick Cheney, on the Iraq insurgency, June 20, 2005 -“My belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators.” –Vice President Dick Cheney, “Meet the Press,” March 16, 2003 - “F**k Saddam, we’re taking him out.” –President Bush to three U.S. Senators in March 2002, a full year before the Iraq invasion-“Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed.” –President Bush, standing under a “Mission Accomplished” banner on the USS Lincoln aircraft carrier, May 2, 2003 - “We found the weapons of mass destruction.” –President Bush, in an interview with Polish television, May 29, 2003 - “British intelligence has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa. Our intelligence sources tell us that he has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes suitable for nuclear weapons production.” –President Bush, 2003 State of the Union Address

    WORSE PRESIDENT EVER?

Well 9/11 happened on his watch.

    He tripled the national debt.

Started two unnecessary wars, against countries that had nothing to do with 9/11.

    He never got Bin Laden.

Never got the oil from Iraq.

Gave “No Bid” contracts to his friends.

Shot a lawyer in the face (Not that is a bad thing.)

Still, I wouldn’t call Dick Cheney our “Worse President Ever!”

Onguard: significantly, Ron Wyden of Oregon, who was on the Intelligence Committee and knew the real truths, but couldn’t speak out publicly because of those little “secret” things they can’t reveal, voted against every action that led to that idiotic war in Iraq.

The Cheney/Bush/Rove/ Rumsfeld et al folks learned one thing from history, tell a lie often enough, loud enough and declare anyone who defies you a “traitor”, and well, you get what you want, no matter how many innocent people die, or how many in your own military are killed, for your failure.

Intelligent minds note that the Senate does not have an independent intelligence service. The decision to authorize the war was based on information supplied by – Bush.

When you have a person in power who must one-up his father and another who wants to enrich himself and friends, beware the consequences. Many thousands of lives ruined for personal gain and glory. A country dragged into debt and strife because of cold hearted elitists, in and around the the Bush presidency, is nothing to be proud of. It is a declaration of shame and an embarrassment that years later there are people who, still, either buy the lies, or are too proud and stubborn to admit they were wrong. Remorse to these people is just a word in the dictionary and has no real meaning to them.

Yes, I agree that those Dems deserve great shame for allowing themselves to be bullied and tricked by lying Republicans. But you forgot to list the Republican senators who also went along with the grave deception.

You forget that Obama did NOT agree that Sadam had WMD, and it was clear for anyone not watching Fox News that we were being snowed. Clinton lost her primaries to Obama chiefly because she went with along with the obvious lies. And that’s certainly no reason to vote Republican.

    What WMD’s?

Basically America gave the finger to the rest of the world. Those countries that did follow them? Where are they now?

^ Right! Bush had nothing to do with the death of those 4,000+ American soldiers. None of the wounded or amputees, either. -Iraq was Obama’s fault, right?

“The Dem in the Senate who voted for the war………………Max Baucus (Mont.) Evan Bayh (Ind.) Joe Biden (Del.) John Breaux (La.) Maria Cantwell (Wash.) Jean Carnahan (Mo.) Tom Carper (Del.) Max Cleland (Ga.) Hillary Clinton (N.Y.) Tom Daschle (S.D.) Christopher Dodd (Conn.) Byron Dorgan (N.D.) John Edwards (N.C.) Dianne Feinstein (Calif.) Tom Harkin (Iowa) Fritz Hollings (S.C.) John Rockefeller (W.Va.) Charles Schumer (N.Y.) Bob Torricelli (N.J.)”Ah, the republican meaningless talking point. As if democrats supporting a republican president somehow are to blame for that republicans malfeasance. worse than nonsense – misleading. and the voice that spoke out against the war was maligned as a traitor.Let’s put the shoe on the other foot, for a moment. If the republicans stood behind obama, or did nothing, as opposed to opposing every thing he brought up, they too would be standing behind their president, and not at fault for his programs. However they are at fault for not standing behind their president, as they are to blame for the current economic mess.

We would all be better off if we ignored the trolls (Ms. Ima, HOWGOZIT, Gore Bane, Brandon, etc.) … all they do is spew the same one-and-two-line bulsit on each page — rants that get under the skin of right-minded people … consider that either (1) none of them care any more than to hit-and-run like most who spray grafitti on any blank space, and don’t really care what anybody thinks, or (2) some right-wing/Tea Party sugah dadda pays them to spew this garbage, making them low-life freeloaders, just as they accuse everybody who actually employs actual thought processes before posting on the Internet.

I would be VERY interested to see a DD214 proving more than three months of honorable service from any of these right-wing trolls … but I expect that could never happen …

Just a couple of cents from a 20-year USMC (Ret) who earned a master’s degree in something other than a redneck agenda …

Dad said, If you want to see the truth you need to open your mind as well as your eyes. If you insist on talkin’ with a closed mind you’ll only see what you think, and that’s not always a complete picture. He also said don’t believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.
