In a lot of rooms across this world there are people who confuse recovery with how long they have been in these rooms and have avoided their addictions, yet they seem to lack serenity like Carol’s red headed friend in the strip. Being clean is not measured by days or the number of programs one has tried, if it were then the success rate would be much higher and there would be a lot less anger and frustration on this planet of ours.
It’s creative procrastination. She’s been working on everything including the people around her for 53 years instead of dealing with her rage – she’s not quite ready to start on that yet.
