One of my cats got exhausted after a 30 minute walk in the redwoods and ran up a redwood tree than would have been named after a General in a national park. After another half hour of failed persuasion, I went back to my car and got a hundred feet of rope and a backpack. I knotted the rope to aid climbing, tossed it over the tree limb, and then climbed up to where the cat was sitting, freaked out in the woods.

This cat was particularly bonded to me, so she let me stuff her in the backpack and I climbed down. Half an hour later we were home and she was fine. I was sore for a week. :)

Lucky cat — we are fortunate there is a company called Canopy Cat Rescue in our area that rescues cats stuck in high trees. Wonderful people.

Grammar: Never climb up anywhere from where you can’t get down.
